Ken Vrana, CEO 1in8, asked us to create a new identity, website and advertising campaign that would position 1in8 as a respected national cancer foundation. Their unique business model is centered around early detection and education, with fund-raising events giving financial assistance to institutions located in the community where the fund-raisers are held.
We designed a powerful identity that would attract attention in any application. The ad campaign and website were built around striking black and white images paired with the bold message in bright orange “Don’t be the 1”, to emphasize the fact that one-in-eight people will die of cancer that could be prevented. The campaign would be implemented in print, signage, and merchandising for fundraising events.
